So it was morning. Like I always do for my morning ritual, I was studying the vast world of the internets for some enlightening entertainment…
If you seek, sometimes you really do find.
As it happens, I found myself on a particular website. Now I’ve seen websites that have every gadget under the sun…
From luxurious $7k Kohler Numi toilets with bluetooth functionality and voice command options all the way up to $17k gold plated smart phones and $80k Megatrend speakers, to name a few.
But this was no smart phone gadget. This offer was about a car.
And not just any car either.
A dream car!
Hmmm. Hold on…
Let’s rewind a bit…
You see, given that there’s internet scams everywhere and the fact I wasn’t thinking straight yet, I scrolled on hoping to find something better than badly-photoshopped images.
Then these words jumped out...
Win your dream car!
I mean, that’s what it said. As clear as day.
Winning a car? Hmmm.
How many offers are out there similar to this? One? Two? Ten? Too many to count?
There’s got to be some legit ones, right?
But the internets right now is definitely not the same as the internets back then.
Back then even talking about “earning money online” would result in horrified looks from your families and friends.
Thing are easier now. There are ways for you to make a living online, and it’s almost…
Infinite in its possibilities!
I could be wrong but it seems that more and more people are quitting their jobs and starting to build online businesses.
The more accessible it is to work online, the more people leave their jobs.
And if you can do what you love and get paid for it, who wouldn’t?
Anyway, that’s just my radical perspective on it all. 🙂
On that page this caught my eye...
It’s funny. There’s a Todd Brown there. Now I don’t know Todd Brown personally.
But I know that he’s not some nobody.
He hosts a yearly event called MFA (Marketing Funnel Automation) where he shares tips on high level marketing; conversion, high price point stuff.
Stuff like how to increase LCV (Lifetime Customer Value), etc.
But yeah…

The first thing I thought was “Is this some kind of well-made scam? How did they get Todd Brown in there?”
I began to take it more seriously (still with doubts), and scrolled down to 12 people who’ve received their “dream cars.”
And by the way, I also noticed that they run an A/B test on that page.
The second page that appears has like 60 people in it, not 12. (An A/B test allows you to test different pages on a website).
That’s like 60 people who have won a so called ClickFunnels dream car...
Whatever, right…
My eyes spotted two more names.
Ben Cummings and Jason Fladlien.
Now I don’t know Ben, but Jason Fladlien is like…

Fladlien would be the first to tell you that an information product with a sales letter converts well with a two digit price tag.
Throw in a webinar and you up that to a mid three digits price tag…

The idea of webinar and sales letter is simple. There are some theories behind matching those two things up.
They go into the realm of copywriting and it’s mostly always better to hire a good copywriter to do that for you.
But a scam with so many well known people in it?
Up to now every scam I saw was full of lousy editing, unfinished pages, cloned testimonials…
Guess I was wrong.

Now I don’t know about you but I really hate having to do all the tech stuff, and connect all them wires.
It’s like… do we really need to learn to code?
